2025 NATIONAL CHAMPIONS – Men’s Rowing

by Elijah Cook

Congratulations to Michigan Men’s Rowing: National Champions Once Again

Last month, Michigan Men’s Rowing competed in the American Collegiate Rowing
Association (ACRA) Championship Regatta winning the coveted Men’s Team Points Trophy.
The ACRA Championship Regatta – the national championship for collegiate club rowing –
takes place annually in Oak Ridge, Tennessee, and this year featured more than 75 teams from
across the country vying for national glory.

Each year, the Michigan Men’s Rowing team sets its sights on the Men’s Team Points
Trophy – an award which signifies not just top-end speed but depth and overall program strength
as well. This trophy reflects a collective commitment to excellence across all boat classes, from
novice to varsity. Michigan has long been a powerhouse program in this regard. This year was no
exception – medaling in 6 of 10 boats in their fleet and reclaiming the trophy from Purdue to
earn their 15th national title.

In addition to team success, Michigan boasts three All-American athletes from this
season who received honors for their exceptional performances: seniors Ethan Larson (2nd team)
and Alexandros Triandafillidis (3rd team), and freshman John Riley (Freshman team).
